January 2025 Monthly Meeting

ACF Members and Guests, please join our chapter with your team for our monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm at Kansas City Marriott Country Club Plaza, 4445 Main St., KC, MO 64111| Board Meeting @5:00pm. ️Board Meeting in room Plaza 1 and Dinner in room Plaza 2. Leslie Graham and guest will talk about Johnny Boy foundation and it’s purpose and goals.

Leslie Graham, Executive Director of Johnny Boy Foundation, will talk about Johnny Boy foundation and it’s purpose and goals. Johnny Boy Foundation provides a vocational training program for those over 21 yrs old with intellectual and developmental disabilities exclusively for the hospitality industry, and endorsed by both the GKCRA(Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association) as well as the HLA( Hotel & Lodging Association of Greater Kansas City). John Greer (former Director of Operations of Ponaks and board member of Johnny Boy Foundation) will be attending and Amanda Myers, Employment Specialist for Down Syndrome Innovations, will also be in attendance. Mark Allred with Urban Homestead, a Certified nursery with micro greens and edible flowers and the principal at Truman High School. We’ll also have a presentation about the Carpigiani Gelato Challenge with an opportunity to sign up for the event.
